You're Still Not Ready

You’re still not ready

Why would I expect you to be

You’re younger than me

I guess it comes with the territory

You see, I dive in head-first

I wear my heart on my sleeve

I put it all out there for you to see

You tell me over and over

that you want

someone like me

but still

you’re not ready

You lips say on thing

your actions say another

You want me all to yourself

but please know

I like to wander

And I wonder

What makes you think I will stay loyal to you

Just like I told you

If you’re halfway in

then

I’m only halfway in too
