Perpetual Broken Heart

We moved too fast

I’ll take the blame

How it all ended is

Really a shame

I couldn’t resist you

From the first moment I saw you

I knew I wanted you

I had to have you

I fell fast

I couldn’t see the inevitable crash

The warning lights ahead were flashing red

But I didn’t stop

I ran straight ahead

My heart cracked against your rejection

It shattered underneath your silence

I don’t know if I can come back

From this split

All I can do is sit

And reminisce
